The final, the final is here! Cant wait to see the bands - theyre all f**king amazing and the final is definitely the place to be if you want to hear nothing but unadulterated bliss.

Were also gonna have XFM there, doing there thing after the bands have finished performing (while the judges make their decision, although XFM will be rocking from about 10.30pm-1am). At 1, the judges will declare the winners and then the Rock Idols 2005/2006 will take to the stage to collect the money, the girls, and well... you can figure out the rest.

Well, its been a while coming but thought Id add a bit of a blog for those who care! :).

The Rock Idols heats are flamin amazing. I think one of the best bands Ive heard in a while are Titan System. Not exactly reggae, not exactly rock...maybe, reggae-rock?

Growing up to the sounds of Bob (Marley), The Abyssinians, Eek-a-Mouse, Gladiators, Culture and the rest, it was great to hear a bit of a ragga tip!

The finals been confirmed to - 11th March 2006 - should be abso-f**king-lutely amazing. Titan System to win!

Anyway, I thought Id finish by saying that if you havent already VOTED FOR WHO YOU WANT IN THE FINAL, get going! The band with the most votes who didnt make it through past the 2nd rounds will be added to the Rock Idols Final playlist and will be in to win the money and the glory...!

OK, so for the last eternity Ive had to juggle courseworks, tests and sorting out various Rock Idols bits n bobs. But thankfully, the tests are over and Xmas is coming up. Ive bought all my presents already for everyone - and seeing as my folks are going on holiday this crimbo Im gonna be all alone... so Im stocking up on munch!

Problem is that as soon as Xmas finishes Rock Idols second rounds get started - with all the online voting shenanigans.

Basically, for those who dont know - a number of bands will make it to the final from the second round.

BUT, the bands that dont get through STILL have a chance - and will rely on YOU to do it! Voting will start mid January for the band the public most want to see in the Final, and they will also be on XFM.co.uk as guest artists! More info will be up soon!

So Rock Idols starts today - and bloody time too! This time its hotter, sweatier, and even more competitive than ever before! Its gonna be an oozing pot of musical madness and personally I cant wait!

Only problem is however, Im not going to be there, SOB! :(

Its not my fault, as Im still at uni, Ive got a lecture between 3 and 6 which means that I cant make it.

But never fear, Leeds I shall be at, making an ass of myself and chatting to all the pretty women to make sure theyre loving Rock Idols.

I`ve found the best reggae band since Steel Pulse in the UK yet - check Titan System out!

Apart from that, I had an awesome weekend this weekend - went to Kings union (great venue, loadsa girls, loadsa stuff happening) with my girlfriend and has an amazing time, even though someone poured Vodka in my eye...:|

Have you guys seen the Caleb minisite? It is HOT! Also, some of the pictures are amazing - im definitely going to check them out at their next gig.

We`ve got so many AMAZING bands this year its gonna be even harder than last year for the judges to choose a winner.

Joney`s in Spain at the moment, so you`ll probably be saddened to hear that he`ll be back tomorrow!

OK, so technically I know I shouldnt REAAAAAALY be saying this sort of stuff - but damn - I cant wait for the gig where Neon Candy`ll be playing! :)

Just heard a Jimi Hendrix live track called Machinegun - blew my buttcheeks off no end. That guy could play the guitar three ways from Sunday and I was SO born in the wrong decade.

Gonna go see Wolf Creek at the pictures this week too - looks the dogs knackers, and as a fan of teen type slashers from Scream to decent horror movies like ummm....Club Dread - I cant wait to see 6 aussies get sliced and diced from some perverted ex-nun with seven nipples and 3 eyes.
