The brights started in February 2003 when David Burgess (20), Ben Vowles (19) and Mark Newton (21) placed an advert for a guitarist and found James Prudence (19). Later that year they started to gig in and around London.
By the summer of 2004 the brights had a collection of pop songs that had people smiling during and long after their gigs. In September 2004 they released their debut single “Girl in a Bric-a-Brac Shop”; a 7” record on independent label Bitterscene Records.
In early 2005 the band advertised for a successor to their long term session drummer, and found David Slade (26) to complete the lineup. They are now ready to take this countrys music scene by storm.
